What Is A White Lie?
A white lie is an untrue statement made, not to come off malicious, but “to avoid hurting someone’s feelings, or avoid a potentially troubling scenario.”
So, a white lie is usually termed a mundane or trivial lie. You’re telling a white lie to one of your coworkers, when you say, “I love your apple pie, it’s so tasty!” although you threw your slice in the trash after taking one bite that was disgusting. “Why not tell a harmless lie if telling the truth would hurt my coworker’s feelings” you might reason.
At the end of the day, a lie is a lie, whether white, black, green, or yellow.
White lies, like any other lies, are wrong and can be dangerous because they have one thing in common: they obscure the truth, suppress reality, and paint a picture of a false reality. Politically, they embody the resolve of white supremacists to maintain and propagate their covert act of racism through institutionalized processes, as seen in the case of Kyle Rittenhouse.
The Lies Told In The Kyle Rittenhouse Case
People claim that Kyle Rittenhouse was an innocent kid, even though he wasn’t. He is someone who executed the killing of two people while fatally injuring a third during a BLM protest. Here is a white boy who in one discovered video clip by prosecutors fantasized about being a vigilante shooting down shoplifters, and 15 days later, he made good on his intentions (to shoot people) when he attended a BLM protest (that initially posed no threat to him whatsoever) and shot three people in Kenosha. The reality is, there are Kyle Rittenhouse fans who actually believe that Kyle is just an innocent, young and harmless white kid who acted out of fear and self-defense. After all, the three people he shot were white people, this couldn’t have been a race issue. At least that’s what his fans and white supremacist apologists say.
If Kyle were black, we know what took place would’ve been a whole different scenario. We know the justice system would be calling for his crucifixion ASAP. As Eddie Claude wrote in the Washington Post, Kyle would have been dead had it been that he were black. But here in America, the rules are applied differently along racial lines. When you have so many people donating to Rittenhouse’s legal defense and many buying the “Free Kyle” merchandise put forward by his family, it tells you how racially stratified, decayed and morally dead this country has always been.
From the start of Kyle’s case to the end, it was a tale of lies, from Kyle’s claims to the jurors’ acceptance of those claims.
Kyle lied about living in Kenosha, being an EMT, and being hired to protect local businesses. His lawyer, Corey Chirafisi, added one extra knot to lies when he alleged that state statute allowed Kyle to carry such a weapon for hunting at his age. The fact is, Kyle lives far away from Kenosha, was never employed by anyone to be a vigilante, and had no business being at the protest in the first place. None of his victims pulled a gun on him; eyewitnesses confirmed it. But here in America, what matters is white lies, which we are supposed to believe to keep racism thriving in its most covert form. So it wasn’t much of a surprise that the jurors cleared and acquitted the perpetrator of any wrongdoing. This is America.
Why The Kyle Rittenhouse Verdict Is Black People’s Business
Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial and the verdict is black people’s business. Why? Because Rittenhouse went to the protest (about a black man – Jacob Blake) and his intended target was black people.
Yes, white-on-white crime occurred, but that was incidental. The white people that were killed were not the intended target. They got in the Kyle’s way, and he busted off shots, two dead and one injured.
Do black people need to be reactionary to this whole thing? No. But we do need to be aware of how this does have to do with black people, regardless of Rittenhouse killing white people. Racism/white supremacy is still at play. The decision reached in Rittenhouse’s case sent a clear message to everyone (especially black people) that there are two Americas. Also, during the trial, it was clear that the judge was very biased towards Rittenhouse. That’s very telling. It would be hard to disagree if someone saw the judge as a suspected white supremacist. Unfortunately there are people looking to keep the system of white supremacy intact. There are judges that would punish black people more harshly than white people for the same crimes. If Kyle Rittenhouse were black and lucky enough to make it to trial, who would really be surprised if he would’ve gotten 25 to life for killing two people.
In a system of white supremacy, the white people killed were white sacrifices in the bigger scheme of things. Them being there to help black people (or not) is irrelevant. While there might be white people who go to black protests with good intentions, we must also acknowledge that there are white people who go to these protests who are opportunists, degenerates, anarchists, or all of the above. We need to embrace the reality that these people are NOT allies of black people.
The powers that be know that black people tend to be reactionary, so they figured a non-guilty verdict for the white boy who went to a protest with intentions to harm black people would elicit a reaction. That’s not the case this time. We all knew that if he wasn’t getting a light sentence, he would get off completely. At this point, we know who the system is intended for and who it’s not intended for. There really is no need to react to the verdict. It’s not going to change the verdict.
Suspected white supremacists who use “woke” as a euphemism for black people put out an article with “woke” in the title. According to said article, “Woke radicals in the Arizona State University” where Kyle intends to study nursing has told the school never to allow such a cold-blooded killer like him to gain entry. You can imagine what awaits him if ever he gets in there. One thing is certain; he would never be able to live his normal life again. In a civilized society, anyone who carries and uses a weapon not lawful for them to carry is, and would always be questionable to people of sound mind.
Understanding White Supremacy And Exercising The 2nd Amendment Is Black People’s Defense
Some black people don’t think the trial has anything to do with us, but they’re not looking deep enough. They see that a white person killed other white people and was on trial for that, and that’s it.
Since a black person(s) wasn’t killed in this case, they’re not putting two and two together about Rittenhouse’s original intentions and the fact that a judge (among others) was protecting him. That sets a dangerous precedent for the future because not only will the verdict emboldened more white “vigilantism,” but it will embolden suspected white supremacist judges and other elected officials to act on behalf of white “vigilantes.” That’s not something black people should necessarily turn a blind eye to. It doesn’t matter if a non-black person(s) take an L. White people will, in fact, get killed by white supremacists. It’s been happening already. Remember, a white woman was killed in the Charlottesville rally.
Black people must stay alert, be on guard like this black father and his daughter, and be ready to protect our lives when the need arises. Just make sure you don’t fall victim to the racially wired justice system.
