Local Hip Hop Artist Is A Lame Title For Talented Rappers Who Are Real Emcees

ATTENTION ARTISTS: Stop limiting your talent to a zipcode. This especially goes out to rappers. Being OK with being seen as a “local artist” is limiting. It just puts you in a box. As artists, we’re supposed to think and do things outside of the box. I’m not saying go out and be an attention whore and seek attention any and everywhere but I’m saying you can be more “global” with your craft. Don’t limit yourself. “Local hip hop artist” is simply a lame title for talented rappers.
